Political propaganda was used by most countries fighting in World War II. Many private citizens and institutions also engaged in the production and distribution of propaganda to advance their own causes. The Nazis used modern communication technologies to further their agenda and spread hateful depictions of Jews and other perceived racial and political enemies.
